and balanced my heart on your patience,
you waited for me in the cold,
and beat back the flames of natural desire,
grabbing your mind and taking pleasure in your body
i stood still waiting for intoxication to take full effect,
then begin to run from the normalcy and fallacy,
they feared you and warned me of you,
me laying there in your perfect embrace

i packed my things
and didn’t know where this cycle would take me
